Forza Horizon 4 For PC Review

Forza horizon 4 feels more popular than the motorsport series after the two-year wait since Forza horizon 3 back in Australia. Forza horizon IV feels like a real festival itself looks much more like a real life concert and looks much more like a real life EDC or tomorrow world compared to years past where it was just some fireworks and some tents with some pretty lights. This time there's only one festival site in the entire map which at first you're thinking might be lacking compared to Forza horizon threes multiple horizon sites but with that decision that means the one horizon site is really freaking cool the showcases are also back and there's so much to do on this giant map.

The map is actually really impressive and has tons of variety everything from racing. A train to a plane all that good showcase stuff is back to keep you entertained and are pretty to look at there's even a halo mission. You can get it all dirt and muddy and Sandy all over again the cars react to the environment extremely well. I mean even look at this dust on the windshield of me just going through a dirt trail really quick. I'm definitely not a fan of the locked in seasons though having us free to choose what season would have been really nice in a private lobby and then you and your friends could have chosen what season to play around in and that would have been just fine.

Due to the physics of the game changing with each season we use some high horsepower crazy rear wheel drive car you're gonna have the worst time of your entire life when it comes to the location of Great Britain. One thing is very evident the horsepower in this game as you add it or subtract it is definitely more evident of what you've done the horsepower feels much more real compared to the Australian landscape of Forza horizon 3 because corners come up quick do the skinny and rowdy roads of Great Britain.

I think this is a big change needed for the Forza horizon games because the roads are much more technical and they have much more elevation change in character massive Goliath race and Forza horizon 3 was mostly long sweepers which was fun but it showed that even 1,500 horsepower with totally usable anywhere in the map. Forza horizon 3 was definitely lacking in that department.

They've implemented drag racing a little bit more in this game. The last game has only had one drag racing of it this has multiple but the drag racing settings are pretty cool at first but they're kind of disappointing in some ways there's no runoff at all so you just kind of shoot off the track when you're done and it's kind of hard to turn around there's a little area that it's supposed to be like a Gymkhana area to practice in for drifting and stuff but the runway is shorter than the other games and it runs into a train track which I'm assuming is supposed to simulate a fast and furious one kind of ending for your drag racing but once again not as much runoff and I do wish that they had a longer new runway like the other games.

Drag racing the highway in this game is extremely long though in blasting down the long highway in the Agera RS at 280 miles an hour is pretty freaking bonkers. Though drag slicks have also been introduced into horizon 4 and they were much needed they are almost impossible to drive on the street and turns just like in real life but when it comes to straight line speed they make your car that would have spun all the way down the track in Horizon 3 hook up and go from a dig it's amazing suspension physics. It's really cool to see your car launch in a rear wheel drive setting with the drag slick and actually do what it's supposed to what's good if you just want a new tune with just drag tires the tuning system in this game you can just save a tune with the drag tires and then just get it as needed when you're about to do your top speed run on the runway.

Drifting having the addition of the Formula Drift cars is nuts and they feel crazy and easy to slide Forza horizon 3 was a lot more effort to be good at drifting the roads are much more pleasant to drift in horizon 4 due to the curvy roads that were lacking in horizon 3 drifting mechanics are very snappy and the angle kits that you can add to your cars are pretty awesome. Adding the Formula Drift cars just slightly discourage building your own drift car with a different platform because they're so available and they're so good. So it doesn't really feel like it's needed to build your own good or a bad thing now I'll let you decide the barn finds are also back and I've actually been satisfied with almost every car I've gotten.

There's a drift Club, there's a car rental business you can run to get extra credits and there's also a story where you hang out with essentially somebody who's a twitch streamer and you do missions that are dedications to old racing games that inspired Forza pretty neat stuff things are much more destructible in this game as well barriers and guard rails can be blasted right through so gone are the days of skinny trees that can stop you in random bushes.

I will say though the wheel spins in this game absolutely suck there's so many clothing and horn options for your character over getting credits or cool cars this seems like the clothing and the horns get a lot more chances than credits but maybe the credit wheel spin was a little too opie in horizons 3. However with VIP and Ultimate Edition I got something around 10 to 15 wheel spins to help me get started getting credits is definitely harder than this game and I suppose it's to keep players playing longer and not just buying every car in the game instantly and getting super super rich super quick feel like I was so spoiled in horizon 3 when I don't get a really good wheel spin.

Now let's move on to one thing I don't like about the game there are a few glitches and bugs. There's one glitch that seems to happen pretty often and that as my engine sound will go away it's very strange so you're just driving around and you're shifting gears with nope sound you there have to go back to the festival or just respawn your car and the problems fixed. But it is really random when it happens and sometimes I wonder if it's just some kind of glitch with random people joining your server or something along those lines map has also disappeared on me. One time it never happened again and it's only minor issues found track as well I don't think is big enough for Tsar horizon 1  still think had the best soundtrack because it had such big hits at the time and the music never really got old the music in this game.
